So... pretty much everyone is to blame. This comment doesn't seem to shed much light on the situation.
very true - it's more like a rundown.
it reinforces the statements previously made about corruption, and obstacles in the way of a reasonable win-win compromise that would allow Gemmayze to remain The Street in Beirut. it's on the chopping block
4 to 5 places that were shut are on the list of "allowed to re open within this week. And the general understanding is that things will revert back to normal within a few weeks. Meanwhile this very same so called law is not applied anywhere else in Beirut and beyond.
I leave up to you readers to draw your own conclusions.
That insider should shut up, gemmayzeh is for the youth, and pubs and clubs were created to open until late hours , just because , residents don't like to have fun , that doesn't mean the youth shouldn't have fun.Those residents are just jealous of the youth today , crazy old grandmas.
You misunderstood my words.
I was young once (not so long ago) and still am in my attitude towards life. My reference was to 16-17 who are allowed to drink in certain places. I did not intend to offend our youth. And no pubs were not created to open until late hours, night clubs were. As for the residents of Gemayzeh my opinion is very clear in that respect, in case of doubt I refer you to the link below:
Well , sorry , but gemmayzeh is a touristic area ,now leave the youth alone ,it's the only area where we can enjoy our life in a useless country .And about the 16-17 yrs old , ok there should be a law requiring 18 and above to drink but not 21 like in the US.
