Beirut has seen countless civilizations, cultures, and religions.
Three of the most significant 'cultures' that have shaped this city are pictured below.
In the forefront, a Roman Pillar.
In mid-view, a church (Greek-Orthodox).
In the back, a mosque.
Their placement in the photo is also indicative (in my opinion) of their relative impact on the significance of Beirut.

This is a side view of the Pigeon Rock, the world-famous 'rocher' from which professional and insane cliff divers plunge to their not-so-certain deaths.



1 km from el Ramleh el Bayda and 2 kms from Hamra, the Pigeon Rock is revered by tourists and locals alike.
