I appreciate your message for peace and so we send a peaceful message to you... I don't personally like phrases like "Let us together chase away the Hezbollah from Your land." because it shows that you are not really concerned about Lebanon and it's present politics, let me explain, this is in no way a lesson of politics that i'm giving you, i'm sure i have a lot to learn from you, you seem educated and pacifist, so i allow myself... Hezbollah and his partisans (and i respect them even more now,after judging on the current Israel reaction) do represent like 25 or maybe 40 % percent of the people, my accuracy does not matter. Hezbollah is seen to those, as their only defense against a "It takes us 5 minutes to invade you" state of Israel. These people have their cause. If they annoy you, it does not mean they are terrorists and i thank you sincerly for not using the word TERRORIST because i should have read it a billion times on Cnn today. Isra�l got out from Lebanon in 2000 thanks to them, and if back at that time i wasn't concerned about south lebanon, i grew up now, and i am fully concerned. Thousands of Lebanese went back to the south in 2000 and i think they are grateful to the Hezbollah. The hostages issue: Several Lebanese are emprisonned in Israel from years now, and there is no Lebanese politician capable to negotiate them, and no one seems to care.Isra�l uses them for what they call prisoners exchange, so the Hezbollah only way to bring them back is the exchange. There are off course more and more issues, many issues you don't know about, because i've read some of the Israeli media, and it is far from being free from brainwashing, censorship and manipulation. That's not a propaganda Lisa, it's a fact. Wether Israel wants to forget the facts, the Hezbollah does not want to forget. Now i ain't gonna point fingers at you, i am sure that many of the Israeli's were very sorry for awful things like for example the Qana 96 massacre. We forgave (many of us did). All i am telling you Lisa, is to open your eyes, i have been reading on Haaretz and Cnn, and your government could be right sometimes but mostly he is wrong. Wrong toward all the Lebanese, Christians, Druze and muslims. There was no need for all this cowardly show of force. Eye for a 2000 eyes does not work here. The Israeli government even dares to ask for the 2 hostages without a returning "favor". Well i say no no and no.... The word Equality is absent from your current government dictionary. To finish, thanks again for your message of peace, but please one should know the facts before asking the people of Lebanon to "get rid" of their agressor Hizbollah. Our agressor here is Israel. Lisa, Whatever the result is, Israel will gain hatred from the Lebanese, the muslims and the arabs ; and the Lebanese will gain few billion dollars debts and the memory of hundreds of children & civilians before all. I really think that what Hizballlah did was really unwarranted and it sparked all this senseless death and destruction. THis is a proxy war, where Syria and Iran are settling their beef w/ mainly US and by extension the Israelis on the Lebanese soil. This war is not about exchanging prisoners, that is only a mere smoke screen. This war was supposed to deflect attention off of Iran in regard to their nuclear plans. Moreover, it was also supposed to give Syria more say in Lebanese politics, and bring her back into Lebanon from the backdoor. Unfortumately, the plan backfired, b/c the West, mainly US/Israel are wary of the regional geo-politics and they now turned the table around on Hizbllah, Iran and Syria. Unfortunately, the innocent Lebanese people are taking the brunt of this despicable grand political manenuvers. I hasten to add that Israelis are also using disroportionate force, which makes it an unjust war and by extension an illegal one. On the other hand, Hizballah is not any better, becasue their Katyusha missiles have no accuracy at all, so they are also striking indiscriminately into civilian areas. As far as the Shabaa farms argument, that is plain balderdash (bullsh*t). If they really belonged to Lebanon, then why didn't Syria quit claim to it in the UN? Besides, is this gratuitous killing and destruction worth the meager Shabaa farms, or Hizballah always need to have claims against Israel, becasue that is their raison d'etre? After all, they were spawned after the Israeli invasion in 1982, and without Israel their existance would be futile!!!
Hizballah are real mercenary adventureres, if not how can you explain their military presence, when the Lebanese Forces were demilitarized and not them. Why did thier vassals, Syria allow it? IF the Syrians want to fight the Israelis, let them fight, why are they so silent now? Where are our "beloved big brothers" when we really need them militarily? And ain't no one tell me they are receiving Lebanese refugees, b/c nothing is done there for free. Sorry, for having streched it this far, but hey, I had to vent off my frustration somewhat! The emperor is naked in the room, but no one seems to see him though. My heart goes out for all the innocent victims and my beautiful country where I was born and had to flee b/c of this endless nonesense. I admire all those of you who are there and still taking this unending, bestial crap called war. Also, ty finkployd for giving us this op to communicate.

Very nice try.... all Israel wants is a civil war in Lebanon. Of course, that is after destroying Lebanon and killing innocent children. If you want peace and all you are after is Houzbollah, well, may be your startegy and attacks would be a little different. You have attacked hospitals, ambulances, and people in their cars after you told them to leave their homes. I am not a supporter of any terror acts against anyone... no matter who they are... You could have resolved the situation peacefully if you wanted peace. And save the usual example, if one of your states is attacked in the US you would respond. This is so misleading. You are an occupier and an aggressor. You still occupy Shebaa Frams area until today. You never left it. All you want is the Lebanese water and other natural resources. If all you want was peace and you don't want any land than please tell me... why are you occuping the Golan Heights and most of the land in Palastine that does not belong to you even per the UN? Speaking of the UN, what peace loving nation would reject and ignore every single UN resolution against her since the UN birth? Isreal did... that is a fact that you can't disbute. As for the UN 1559 that calls for the disarment of Hozballah, well, the Lebanese government was working very hard on this and they had made a great of progress until your aggression and mascares started. They had a plan for the Hozballah to be dissolved peacefully and its troops will join the Lebanese army under a special nation force reporting to the Lebanese army and the Lebanese government. Hozballah had agreed to it and they were starting to work on the logistical aspect of it. Israel on the other hand was getting prepared to attack Lebanon and they were waiting for an excuse. I am for peace... I am for freedom... I am for Lebanon...
can anybody confirm if the "IDF" hit the village of Hamara in East Beqaa Valley? If so, did they hit Dar Hanan???

I am Lebanese and I have to say that I don't agree with your perception of Hizbollah...why are you defending them. If they cared about ALL Lebanese people and not just the shiites, then they would NOT have done what they did. Israel's force if excessive!!!!!!!! BUT Hizbollah is not an organisation that benefits Lebanon in any way.

It is my right to defend the Hezbollah and you have all the right to criticize them. What i exposed in my past message is a big external problem with Israel that many of the Lebanese want to forget, so they can "live in peace" and i used to be like those. Now if you want to tell them that the Hezbollah is wrong and has no right of existence, that's where i don't agree. I won't be talking politics and repeating the same story, i ask you not to give Israel any reason for this destruction...Someone will have to pay for this, and i won't be giving Israel no credit. Israel main aim in this war is destroying Lebanon's economy , tourism and off course turning the Lebanese against themselves for a civil war, the current Israel government is blood thirsty there is no doubt about it. The world is using the world terrorism to justify Israel acts against Lebanon and Palestine, i tell them Hezbollah is not a terrorist organisation, it never was and it never will be one. Now it is time for dialogue, let's exchange those prisoners if at least they pretend to be the cause of this war, and then let us solve our HUGE problems in Lebanon FIRST. We should give no gifts to Israel after all this... UNCONDITIONAL Cease fire is what we ask and we should insist !!! Best regards Anthony

I understand what you are saying and I also don't want anyone to give the Israeli's and excuse to attack. I just believe that as long as Hizbollah remains ARMED there will never be peace. There should not be an organisation within Lebanon that does not fight for the cause of ALL Lebanese people...and Hizbollah does not fight for all Lebanese people. The Lebanese Army should be representative of the people and should deploy throughout Lebanon. Perhaps if Hizbollah disarmed, they could join with the conventional army. Although this will probably never happen. As long as Hizbollah can randomly jeopordize the fate of an ENTIRE nation with its reckless actions, Lebanon will never see peace :(

wow i just read that news link funny how the peacefull ones against the occupation were just expressing it.. then you get the other who come and throw garbage and name calling come on now... but i wont go to into it it could be a lie i wasnt there... they didnt show that many pictures or video ...
but from reading the posts people left on there. wow alot of hate towards those peacefull activists... a dman lot of hate towards them so much i had to stop and think of how maybe these hatefull people are just outsiders trying to make israel look bad because they did a damn good job at it.. or because they saw their whole family die in the hands of hezbola.. which could very well be... but if that the case why get mad at palestine if they do the same hatefull acts... or at lebanon ...they have all had family and friend die in the hands of israel ... (oooh that looks like another circle) its not like 100% of israel is peacefull and non hating then i could understand a little bit but still not be right... just like i dont agree with palestine spewing hate on israel or anyone spewing hate on anyone... again hate breeds hate no matter what.
