I saw one too once in Cairo...yet larger...it was like bear or something...and the hair(or fur maybe:D) was just like this one...so black and so much :D

sorry its called chow chow, usually they are tibetiab dogs, but this one looks like he/she is a chow mix (most probably with a terrier breed)

It call polish sheepp dog or polish tatra mountain dog
This dog looks like a Newfoundland . They are used as rescue dogs in Newfoundland Canada and are capable of swimming for miles in cold water due to their heavy coats . I know a family who cross-bred Newfies with Great Pyranees - a very large white dog - very similar in appearance to get an even larger black and white Newfie-like critter . These weighed over 90 kilos . Wonderful dispositions, thankfully.
