Yet another disaster inflicted upon Lebanon.
I'm sorry, but the Israelis are retarded sometimes.
This is freaking terrible. so now, we're losing ourlives, our economy, and our environment.
by the way, considering the number of visitors to your site, i could spare some BW (maybe for vids, or large photos) if you need. i've sent you a couple emails, have you recieved them?
yes the israel government has polluted its own waters also but i hope everyone realizes they do not care about its people or anyone else for that matter.
this is the point many people living in israel arent seeing that their government is out to harm them also.. by what they have done and what they are doing it is not helping the israeli cause at all... and its also commen sense you bomb oil tanker when they are full and they will either have a huge boom and or they will spew whatever they carry... but if you do have pictures (which to some people are photoshopped) or if you have video it would greatly help the ones that for the right reasons question things they see.

there are pictures of the spill in link bellow from a few days. Its getting worse, my mother in Beirut who used to swim in the medteranean sea every day confirms this.I will post if I find more pics

F***in disaster, I've been checking every news source I could think of ever since I sawy this post looking for information about the spill... and for a moment there I thought that finkployd was mistaken and that it wasn't true. BUT NOOO, Lebanon can't catch a break, these pics are heartbreaking, sickening. oh and a certain superpower will not ask for a cease fire, cause that would just be WRONG... and leb politicians still kisss their asss...
man this is as bad as fox news talk... I don't doubt there is a hidden agenda for this war, but these guys are going too far.
These pics aren't of a previous oil disaster are they? No news outlets or Greenpeace are reporting this incident. It makes Israel look bad and maybe that's why it's being hushed but lets hope the news here isn't being fooled as well.
This is true guys... I just spoke to some friends in Lebanon and they confirmed it. The news is not carrying it because they are run by the jews. Anything that makes Israel bad they will avoid showing it until they abolutly have too. No different than the illegal weapons being used in the war. Israel won't be able to say we bombed the tanks in the sea because Hezbollah was hiding there... but of course, Hezbollah had a "stronghold" in Jounieh and Jebil. Not to mention Eshrefiah. Afterall, Hezbollah runs its main operations from these locations.
Here is soemthing funny guys... Those of you who are Lebanese would get this one... Last night, Anderson Cooper reported: "We asked who are those people around us on bikes in the Southern Lebanon and we were told they are a group called "shbab". It is a group that belongs to Hezbollah." :) It is an act of evil by the US and Israel... an act of terror and the average Joe in the US doesn't know any better. They are twisting stories left and right and too bad 99% of the population in the US are the average Joe. Now we have a new terrorist group in Lebanon called "Shabab". So my friends, ya shabab, we are now all terrorists. Israel is on a mission to kill people and even fish in Lebanon. May be their "sources" told them the fish are terrorists too!!! I bet Cheney and Bush would beleive it. They are all stupid and evil. Or may the fish are Shite'. Thank you Bush for killing innocent civilians and even the beautiful environment in Lebanon.
Now how did this become America's fault, and especiallly the average Americans fault....I beg to differ with you. I don't speak for all of us in America. But as for me, I have no great love for Israel at all. I think Hezbollah was wrong for going across the border and killing some Israeli soldiers and capturing two more, but I also think that destroying a country and it's people because of this is a crime against humanity. I think we would all live more peacefully if our leaders did what the majority of the people want instead of what they want to do or what their advisors want them to do.
I agree with you. It's been mondblowing to see the polls. I don't know of anyone who doesn't wanr an immediate ceasefire. Who are they asking?
Because of this I set up a poll on my blog. I wish people would take it. I'm not promoting myself really, I just want to see if an average person's poll of saverage people comes out like the news media's. I don't trust them or their pollers to get the right ,ix of people. Let's get as many people as we can so we can have a truly representaive number.

Thank you for the note. I appreciate and respect your stand on this issue. It is America's fault in the whole mess because America is not only providing the weapons and 100% support to Israel to conduct this terror act, it was planned in advance in DC back in March. I know this for a fact but please understand that I can't go into any further. You can beleive me or not. It is up to you. This is a part of a very large plan put together by Cheney. More to come. As for my comment regarding the average Joe, I am sure you would agree with me that the average American person doesn't know anything about the details of this war other than Israel is "helping" the US in the "war on terror". Thank God for the internet these days that people like get real news from avernues other than CNN and company. Once again, thank you for being open minded and I respect your stand.

I am surprised it was only in March. When this first began, and we were the lone dissenter in the Security Coucil, I said (to myself and others), this has Bush written all over it. When Olmert started referring to Iran and Syria as the "axis of evil" I was sure. The Israelis have never used that terminology to my recollection. As for the "average joe", I'm not even sure who that is in America anymore. The vast majority of the people I talk to (and I start conversations with strangers) don't care for Bush, don;t know how he got elected, think he's dangerous, and wonder all the time what he's up to. Most of us believe he'll start something with Iran. I think they don't want a ceasefire, because they are hoping someone else in the Middle East will get involved to give them the excuse they need to start another war. They'd be idiots, certainly, but hey - we are talking about Bush. Sadly they have been destroying our educational system for years and as we all know, knowledge is power. Hopefully the internet and the online generation will be able to overcome the lack of education by conversing with people from around the world. Most humans do want to learn. Many,many of us do NOT blindly support Israel or any other country. Personally, I think what is happening to Lebanon and Palestine is beyond words. It makes me sick and I don;t understand why the world community isn't just saying screw the US, we still know right from wrong, and this is wrong.

to invest in macroeconomics. Closest I personally get to that is owning my home and paying taxes.
macroeconomics -- definition: The study of the sum total of economic activity, dealing with the issues of growth, inflation0 and unemployment and with national economic policies relating to these issues. one sixth of yur nations gdp: gross domestic product or GDP is the total value of goods and services produced by a nation, is for your military. Now answer me this, if one sixth goes to the army...then eventually unless you go to war or sponsor wars taxpayer and congress can't justify this spending.....get it now!! contract for guns...gotta hire people to make them..build a factory and somebody's got use them....if nobody uses those guns..them you gotta close the factory and fire these people. Which results in mass layoff...now think: US population is about 300 million, military spending is one sixth your gdp...imagine the jobs losses..from executives down to factory hands...
now do you understand ...the loss this would incure to your economy if you stop making and selling guns...and how it affects this conflict in particular... ps: a two party system isn't much a democracy either

I know macroeconomics is the whole system. However, when you consider the impact I have by myself on the system, I pretty much don't exist - BECAUSE I don't happen to have the funds to make any noticable dents in anything at all. The economy would continue to run just fine without my participation. So I happily affect my own little corner of the world with my taxes (and gas purchases). As far as the affect stopping the production of selling and making guns would have on our economy...can you say "invasion"? Come on buddy - it's the same affect it would have in EVERY nation that sells/makes guns, and would also have a huge affect on the countries who BUY the guns (ammo, tanks, planes, etc. etc) - regardless of which side they are on in ANY conflict. Oh yeah - we aren't a two party system. We frequently end up nholding our breath over some of the ones from the less prominent parties, for vaious reasons. The system IS flawed in the way it is grossly impacted by finances. But ya know something? EVERYONE should love and be proud of the country they claim. An other people's opinions should not determine their pride. In a mess such as this, people get (rightfully) extremely emotional and partisan. Just part of the way it works. Peace

Most of the big weapons builders got started in the domestic market. If you also believe your powerless than you are. simple. Blind patriotism leads to these types of conflicts. 1939 to 1945 ---You guys stood up during Vietnam and got it done. It might have taken a bit but it got done. It got done during the civil rights movement also. America's is great place with great people and the amount of potential to stop this is there. Unlike many that might post things here I don't believe that the US is alone to blame along with Israel for this aggression. Plenty neighboring countries around this conflict have yet to make any concrete actions also just like my country has done nothing more than express deep regret. My country (Canada) is guilty also if not more for bringing absolutely nothing to the table with the matter of peace. We provide the raws for these weapons. Its not about the funds, its about the voice...this conflict or any other conflict. We've got to make these weapons illegal for all not just some. Precision guided missiles, weapons of mass destruction..nobody needs these. The difference here is we got these guns off the domestic market and nobody here can own anything automatic are that can be deliberately used to kill large amounts of people. We've forced leglisation in to prevent the sales and development of such weapons within our borders ...u can do the same...trust me ...its not hopeless, eventhough it might seem like it sometimes....if you believe it can happen..ya I know it sounds cheese but we gotta show them at least that were pissed with the way their handling it and that we think we can do better ....hey, here's the easy method to start....don't buy from these profiteers of death...and tell people why? Hit'em in the pocket book and end of month sales projections ...watch how fast they change their attitude and who they support later. Its our money and our govt. lets teach them that we won't stand for it and we'll spend our money somewhere else ..which is all they want in the end.

I have searched and searched on the web and have found NO MENTION OF OIL SPILLS IN BEIRUT, IN ANY NEWS OUTLET. Until you provide a link to a news article that mentions this story, I will consider it as propaganda, not a fact. Pictures are very easy to forge. And in a war, like in a war, I never believe any propaganda, unless proven absolutely trustworthy.

I swear I saw a little "blurb" about the oil spill on the BBC website on either Saturday or Sunday. Mysteriously, I can find nothing in their archives now. Admittedly, i've been all over the web since this whole debacle started, but I think that's where I saw it.

The reason that I or no one has seen this Oil spill thing on any U.S. news stations is because the U.S. news stations are Jewishly owned ( I think Zhai said that above ). But its just like "all" the stuff you hear on the news. They only tell you bits and peices of whats actually happening. Why? Because they no that the American people have a strong voice in the political world. So, they want the American peoples oppinion to be just like theres. How do they do this? They shape your oppinion by only telling you certain things, certain facts. They FORCE our own ideas, our own thoughts and oppinions upon us... DJ
Ok - I can only read parts (margins seem a bit off today - but still glad it is here!!) so I may have misunderstood, but I don't think so.
May I point out the the American news media that is in Lebanon and is TRYING to report both sides is being restricted in both access to areas and as to what they may film by the Hezbollah guides on the "permitted" trips? It seems like there is a lot of manipulation of what is being shown by BOTH sides of this mess. You are right: "They shape opinion by only telling you certain things, certain facts." And "they" seems to be an awful lot of different players on both sides of the war. There is no point in bad-mouthing us (US) over the broadcasting when neither side of the conflict is realistically going to be open about what all is really happening. We are not as dumb as some people seem to think. We can see when things are censored, we recoginze biases, because of our own political coverages we are used to acknowledging that what we hear and see is probably - in the very LEAST - a bit slanted, and when it comes to war we know it is probably VERY slanted - for a lot of reasons including lies from the interviewees and limiting of what is allowed to be shown - regardless of which "side" it's on. A really good thing would be for some of you who are being affected when you did nothing (which is pretty much the majority of Lebanon as far as I can tell from the biased broadcasts) to get ahold of some of the reporters and tell the Lebonese, non-Hezbollah side of it. i would really like to hear - even if you remain off-camera and merely a voice - how YOU feel and are being affected. I can pretty much tell you both the Jewish sides and the Hezbollah sides without constant recitations from them. It's you innocent folks that I"m concerned the most about and feel terrible for. Folks like Finkployd who is trying to show the side of Lebanon that the media isn't getting to show. The beautiful mall, still untouched (Thank God, hopefully it stays that way) to the sad pictures of destroyed buildings and homes. I love that he is willing to allow access to the human side there and also allow various viewpoints. THAT is what makes an informed world.

I am an American of Lebanese decent. ( just wanted to makesure you got that ) Yes you may be right that America "regognizes biasses", but I am just afraid that as the news continues to only give bits and pieces of the story, people will be convinced of certain things because they still dont have the full story. Keeping an open mind, that thought occurred to me too. The major reason I dismissed it was because it was the media opp that was not taken advantage of. Reason two is the fuel depots were close to the coast from pictures I've seen.
Australian News reported the story today the 30th of July. Talk about slow or cunning.
