Call Call Call.....the State Dept is sensitive to public opinion abroad - after all, they have to live there. In the US, there is an election coming up. This will let Sate know that the terrorism threat has not made Lebanon drop off the radar. UPDATE: I emailed the major news organizations the press release for the convoy planning to travel to Southern Lebanon next week. Hopefully there will be major news covergae and hopefully, the world watching will keep them safe.

'Using M26 in towns and villages would be crazy. Each M26 rocket contains 644 M77 shaped-charge sub-munitions, each of which has the same effect on personnel as a hand grenade, with the additional capability of being able to penetrate armour and masonry. The rocket separates above ground and the target is showered with the shaped charge grenades. The effect is known as "Iron Rain". A long-term problem with these weapons is that there is always a high number of blinds, around 5 of the M77 charges from each and every rocket will fail to detonate on impact. These will present a UXB hazard to rescue workers, civilians, children, livestock, friendly and enemy soldiers alike.'
I heard on the news today that the Israeli are asking USA for another shipment of cluster bombs cause they are running out of them. US is said to be hesitant to sell the Israeli more Cluster bombs because they hit too many civilian targets with them. Lets hope they decide not to sell any more of those inhumane murder weapons to the Israel army.
Also the improvement ratings of the Israeli government in Israel are slipping because of the ongoing war in Lebanon. Maybe the average Israeli doesn�t like the bombing of innocent people in the name of peace.

News reports indicate that some Israelis don't like their boy soldiers being killed, but that lots of others think that Olmert has taken too softly softly an approach.
Wanna see something stupid? This is the email my senator sent to me after i i told him i was against israel's war crimes against the lebanese people:
Dear Mr. X : Thank you for contacting me regarding the tragic rocket attacks and cross-border raids against Israel , and the ensuing conflict in the region. I appreciate your thoughts and understand your concerns on this important issue. I stand strongly with the people of Israel in their efforts to eliminate the threats to them from Hezbollah, Hamas and their sponsors in Syria and Iran . No nation can be asked to turn the other cheek day after day, when its people are subject to daily missile strikes against civilian targets and cross-border raids that kill and capture its citizens. A cease-fire is not enough. Hezbollah operates a mini-state and military in southern Lebanon . It has an arsenal of thousands of missiles and operates outside the control of the Lebanese government, despite United Nations Security Council Resolution 1559 that calls for disarming Hezbollah, removing all foreign forces from Lebanon - including those from Iran - and deploying the Lebanese army to secure the border with Israel . It is the failure of any of the parties mentioned above to comply with this resolution that has broken the peace in southern Lebanon and left Israel with no choice but to protect the innocent. Such willful intransigence and continuous wanton efforts undermine efforts of leaders in Israel and Palestine to achieve a lasting peace is unacceptable, as is Iranian and Syrian adventurism intended to foment violence and unrest. For these reasons, the American people and I resolutely support Israel in this fight. I also appreciate the public comments of leaders from the Arab world, including those from Saudi Arabia , Jordan and Egypt , that make clear Hezbollah and its foreign allies in Tehran and Damascus created this crisis. It is my hope that others in the Islamic world will speak out against this dangerous extremism and recklessness. At times such as these it is clear that American support for Israel and American leadership in the international community to put meaningful pressure on enemies of peace such as these terrorist groups and their patrons is critical. Stronger steps are required, and that is why I am the original Democratic sponsor of the Iran Freedom Support Act in the Senate and am working to strengthen the Iran Libya Sanctions Act. Please be assured that I remain focused on this extraordinarily important national security challenge and will keep your thoughts in mind as the Senate debates appropriate next steps on my legislation and other ideas that surface.

wow you are sick and i do mean sick . I am British and for as long as i can recall the IRA bomberd UK and my home city was very badly hit . People did die Mainly soldiers . Nothing so tame as kidnapping BUT and yes there is a BUT the British did not launch air strikes on Ireland . Nor did it claim all Irish were members of the IRA .
Through talks and diplomacy the sides met and an end to stupidty has been reached . There remains the question of arms ( still no decommisioning by IRA ) and a splinter group remains. However sense prevails and civilian lives matter . By the way ha ha your language doesnt really help your case . Why not try being a human being ...... No person deserves being decimated from above by bombs . ps ) just the same as Rabine did not deserve to be assassinated and by an Orthodox Jew ... remember that ?
