well... it's not that big of a ratio, especially compared to jordan, which has more citizens of palestinian origin than jordanian.
Your pop. detail omits the migrant workers from Ethiopia, Nepal and elsewhere who may number 200 000. some work 90 hour weeks for $1.44 and hour- I haven't seen any blogs about that.
1.44 an hour?? that's absurd! it's closer to 25 cents an hour, assuming your 90 hours a week figure is accurate.
also the majority are from Sri Lanka. I've never met a Nepalese migrant worker in Lebanon. |
