we met a news team in a Toyota 4Runner fully equipped with a satellite transmission module. they did not attempt to reach the UN post. they didn't even have the courage to investigate the road overlooking Israel, and instead asked us if we could report to them on the condition and situation there. high res high res the Israeli side of the border is marked with thick and lush greens. the Lebanese side is marked with dry and arid yellows. during the 22 year Israeli occupation of South Lebanon, all Lebanese water resources were diverted to Israel [BBC]. this resulted in a stark difference between two lands separated by a 10 meter dirt road. What i do undertsand is that :- a) were this the USA we would never be hearing the end of it .!! b) that the weapons that did this were as like as not produced in USA and flown via UK to Israel so they could do this evil . c)Want I want to ask of Bush and the UN ( same thing we know ) is Now tell us who is the real axis of evil ? My parents have always talked about the number one war between Israel and Lebanon, "Water". It is an amazing picture. I have always heard about it, but this puts it in a new persoective. My mom has always said that Israel has had their eye on the Litani River for a long long time. This just proves her point. Thanks for all your hard work Fink. I just wish some of this stuff made it on our national news. Take care.
Ditto Sona, My husband always told me war would be over water, I know Isreal was siphoning the water when I visited 10 years ago. I tried to inform my representatives, they thought it was "propaganda". Wow, these pictures are so clear it is just frustrating to know my government is so blind and will not even consider the truth. I hear the Sheba has much water, is this true? I suspect that is why Isreal is hanging tight to it. For any american visiting this blog and wants to know more truth: ifamericansknew.org
About water resources, i've read the same thing between Israel and Palestinian territories.

Question:
wouldn't it be cheaper for Israel to buy water from it's neighbours for a reasonable price then spend billions of $ in war effort and remain in a constant state of war? water is also the main reason why Israel doesn't want to return the Golan Heighs, because of the Keneitra (sea of Gallile) which is the main water supply for northen Israel; and it's mainly dependant on the wazani river which is a lebanese affluent.
From what I've heard again from my parents, the Lebanese government has offered to sell the water to Israel, but they've refused. They pretty much want it for free. Which obviously they are getting it. And as far as the amount it's costing them to Bomb Lebanon, well we know who is paying for that; our tax money.
Whoever first said that OIL AND WATER DO NOT MIX was unaware of the greed of USA and Israel .. In their desire to have all they mix a cocktail of hate and death .
