Come Home � A Traveling exhibition

About 100 artists from various countries will exhibit mainly small-format pieces of work. Ideas, second thoughts, sketches and the remains of abandoned projects in the form of photographs, vides, books, objects and audio-visual installations are culled from the depth of the proverbial drawer.

The work, ranging from the ephemeral to the mundane to the bold, will be shown in the domestic setting of an authentic apartment. The private location, enables an intimate and relaxed atmosphere and offers a different perspective of looking at art: may it be in the hall, the kitchen, the bedrooms or the bathroom.

Every year, since 1999, a new version of the exhibition has taken place in the flat of Cologne based artist Steff Adams. Afterwards it is sent to private homes all over the World. COME HOME was shown in Amsterdam, Auckland, Chicago, Madrid, New York, Porto Alegre and Tokyo during the last years � now in Beirut, with many Lebanese artists participating.

In Beirut the location will be on the 1st floor of a typical Gemmayze house; needless to say that the admission is free. In order to create a fine opening celebration, a big party will be given on Dec 8th. Come home and join in the fun.
