my question is, how could Israel get this list of names? it seems highly unlikely that they would be able to get the names of these killed fighters in the middle of this conflict. do they carry ID on them? second, I have no doubt Hizbollah has lost more than they admit to. But I think it's more to demoralize the Israelis, rather than the fool the Lebanese....
True or not, Israeli's have tried all the means to defeat the Lebanese morale. Jamming, Sms, brochures, phone calls, internet hacking and guess what ? They fail! Why? Because who can believe Israel? No one in his complete mind could.
Of course they carry ID. Every soldier has both an ID card and dog tags. In the US army because some part of your body might be blown off, we place one tag around our neck and another in our shoe lace. Without the tags there would be no way to identify your body, notify your family or give a proper burial. I don't know what system Hezbollah uses, but it is probably similar. The only time you don't carry ID is on a secret or commando mission where your nation wants deniability.
This is apparently the leaflet that gives the names of 180 Hezbollah members. We know that such a leaflet was dropped on the 13th. Might anyone be able to do more translation. I have an Internet article on this subject and it would be nice to be able to mention all the text (with the exception of the names of course) |
