who currently lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has been systematically stealing BloggingBeirut.com's Internationally Published Photography to populate his own For-Profit Website.
When BloggingBeirut.com sent him an E-mail informing him of his Copyright Violations, not only did he not remove the photographs in question, but also proceeded to repeatedly lie about their source and their ownership.
Here's the E-mail correspondence:
BloggingBeirut.com said:
The photos posted by 'pierre' on your website, are copyrighted.
Remove said photos, or we will have to proceed with legal action.
Thank you.

Hello Sir Fink Ploydster,
We are sorry to hear that but those photos submited by a trusted user at website maybe they are yours maybe NOT this is why please send us proove that those pictures are yours so we can remove them and since you were talking about legal Action i advice you to take a look at this: (excerpt from Terms of Registration on his Website)
[Any upload of ANY member, if copyrighted or not, it is their responsibility to acknowledge the author of that image. WEBSITE.com or its author will not be responsible for member-posted images that are considered agressive, offensive or illegal in any state or country.
Nobody, including members and webmaster or author of this site, is not responsible for any and if there should be any misleading information included in any of the image descriptions. For most accurate historical information, please refer to Encyclopedias in your own language and history books.]
Regards,
Pierre
not only does the above statement contradict itself by applying two negatives, but the fact that he's the owner of the website implicates him in his own copyright violation as the member who posted the stolen photographs
at that point, Pierre Yaacoub instructed his 'legal representative' Tamara Akl to contact BloggingBeirut.com
Tamara Akl (Pierre Yaacoub's 'legal representative') said:
To whom it may concern
I was forwarded your emails concerning legal notices about certain pictures
If you are sure that some of the pictures on our site are legaly yours, we would be more than happy to comply to your needs
We are a friendly site and we respect everybody's copyright as long as they respect ours.

at that point, Tamara Akl (Pierre Yaacoubs legal representative) changed the course of the correspondence and began insisting for the identity behind BloggingBeirut.com
Tamara Akl (Pierre Yaacoub's 'legal representative') said:
Maybe if we know who we are dealing with
we will be able to respond
BloggingBeirut.com says:
You are dealing with: www.BloggingBeirut.com
Tamara Akl (Pierre Yaacoub's 'legal representative') said:
Is there a contact to go with the site???
I told we dont mind to delete the pictures as long as we have proof they are yours.
Please waiting for your reply as soon as possible with your complete contact information
by then, it was apparent that Pierre Yaacoub and his legal representative were simply stalling the removal of the photographs he had stolen from BloggingBeirut.com, so BloggingBeirut.com decided to take legal action with a cease and desist letter. one week later, the war broke out and that action was shelved in order to focus our resources on reporting.
6 weeks have passed, and still BloggingBeirut.coms Internationally Published Photographs have yet to be removed from Pierre Yaacoubs For-Profit Website.
BloggingBeirut.com will proceed with issuing the cease and desist letter as soon as possible,
but until then, we would appreciate it if our readers would contact Pierre Yaacoub and voice their concerns about his blatant Copyright Violations
Pierre Yaacoub's (Montreal, Quebec [www.yaacoub.com]) illegal activities, blatant disregard for copyright laws and artists rights, has made publishing anything for fair use, without watermarks and tags, impossible.
Prior to 2 months ago, BloggingBeirut.com posted all its photographs without watermarks and tags. (check for yourselves)
Today, Pierre Yaacoub has forced BloggingBeirut.com to 'sign' every image in order to keep him from stealing it and making a Profit for himself.
Thank you in advance for your help.
