as we strolled through the crowds, we were greeted with warmth, friendliness, and unrelenting generosity:
invitations to smoke, to tea, to a can of Red Bull, to enjoy the fire,
to partake in meaningful and meaningless banter...
gender was never an issue. religion was never an issue.
all that seemed to mean anything was
respect
they just wanted to be respected

with car trunks for couches and arguiles for company these guys are here to stay
