LeMSIC's "International Day of Peace" Festival in collaboration with UN
September 21, 2005 - UNESCO Palace, Beirut - Lebanon

The Lebanese Medical Students' International Committee is organizing "The International Day of Peace" in collaboration with The United Nations Information Center and the Ministry of Culture. The event will take place on Wednesday September 21st, 2005, in UNESCO Palace, from 3p.m. to 11 p.m.

The program will include a campaign, exhibition by Lebanese artists on Peace, war, and human rights, and workshops on the following topics (3-8 p.m.)

� Inner Peace
� Non-violent Communication
� Conflict resolution
� Human Rights education
� After-war myths

The program will also feature a CONCERT by the National Orchestra of Nowherestan (25 artists including Toni Hanna, Nahawand, Haneen and Chehadeh Brothers)-concept by Michel Elefteriades.

� Inner Peace - Avo Seropime (Tai Chi Master)
� Anger Management - Dr. Gharzuddine (Clinical Psychologist)
� From Prejudice and Exclusion to Tolerance and Inclusion - Dr. Irma Ghosn (Head of the Institute of Prejudice and Peace)

6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

� Self Preception - Jamil Muawwad (Sustainable Democracy Center)
� Non-Violent Communication - Maisa Feghali (Children's International Summer Villages)
� Human Rights Education - Maya Mansour (Permanent Peace Movement)

8 p.m. - 11 p.m.

� CONCERT by the National Orchestra of Nowherestan
