I can't imagine anything mattering to the Lebanese at this moment more than...

no it's not the opposition or the government...

it's money - cold hard cash.

After all, it's January, and people are broke from the holidays - I've barely got 100$ to last me till the end of the month.

So, this is not a test of popularity after all, au contraire, this is a basic survival test:

What will get you through the end of the month?

- The money in your pocket.
or
- The ideology in your heart/mind.
