Mike, from the Pennsylvania, noticed this article in i-D Magazine's 273rd Issue (February 2007)
"Beirut means many things to many people. When the war in Lebanon reached feverpitch last summer, we all watched the news headlines powerless to help.
While, thankfully, a ceasefire (of sorts) was reached, the need to regenerate -- and re-love -- the area remains key. Now there's something -- however small -- you can do to help. Designed to replicate the 'I heart NY' campaign that swelled after 9/11, 'I heart Beirut' is a sticker campaign out to keep this part of the world in our, er, hearts... these stickers have travelled to Chicago and New York and even on to the front of style magazine Glam Cult... Whether you're there or not, stick 'em up -- it's the least you can do."

With this news, I'd like to propose an idea that's been on my mind since December:
For the 1 Year Remembrance of the Summer 2006 Israeli War on Lebanon, we should Celebrate Peace and the Lebanese Way of Life through a repeat of the Global 'I Heart Beirut' Campaign, to remind the World that We Still Love Beirut (through thick and thin).
