Just over Byblos (Jbeil), on a rocky coastline, lies a little restaurant / beach club.

Entry is 5000 L.L. (3.33 US$), but by table, meaning that a group of 10 people can enter the setup for just 5000 L.L.

This equates to a huge cost saving, when compared to the majority of the beaches in Lebanon (where entry fees can exceed 10 US$ per person), Puncho Beach affords entry and a full meal for four, for less than just entry elsewhere.

We had fish, fresh fish - malleefeh - with fattoush and some meza. Total cost, including entry, for four people came to 75,000 L.L., which is 50 US$. Not bad eh?

The beach is rocky, with a calm waters natural basin to swim in. The water seems clean, as clean as some of the best places around.

Great for couples who want to wade around, or for people with snorkling gear who want to chase little sparkling fish.
