Lebanon's Blue Gold - Chabrouh Dam Filling Up

Last year, the Chabrouh Dam in Faraya was officially activated.

Last week - it's good to know Maxime Chaya - I received these photos, showing the dam filling up for the first time.

The 63-meter high dam has a storage capacity of some 8 million cubic meters.

here's the latest addition to my fruit-only diet...

Loz Akhdar - Green Almonds - a Spring Fruit / Nut in Lebanon
the almond core is soft and watery
it is eaten whole, chilled, with salt
tastes like chicken

sometimes, as a side dish to this strict regimen, i have a triple whopper with double cheese and a Diet Coke - i don't eat the fries cause they're too calorific
