He isn't alone with such a totally ridiculous comment . I watch the German press etc and come in to contact with many Germans . They are terriified of voicing any critiscism outloud . The Jewish lobby here can be extremely nasty , for ever making trouble. So you see they hold the whip hand . What happened years back was etxremely bad to put it mildly as were Japanese war crimes . Yet they have lived with and come through . Maybe 2 US atom bombs dropped on them equals that ........
As for Israel they have never once said sorry to any one , continue with aggression safe in the knowledge they are allowed a free hand to kill and break all rules .
Gila are you with the real world OR merely selective ? It is a fact that in a lot of countries there are such group with their cause . Be it ETA in Spain or the IRA in Ireland . to name but two .
Now I know lots over the IRA as an anglo/ irish individual who grew up in uk and saw it bombed each year ....Christian fundementalism -- or is that not allowed to be said by you ? The majority of the population in the Republic of Ireland were not involved with the IRA yet they didnt speak out but--- neither were they bombed by UK . Hezballa may not be your ideal . They are not mine but i dont live there What i am wise enough to know is they are a very very small minority and if Israel would simply back off and leave alone They would not be around ......Its back to the chicken and egg . why don't people in the west ever say one bad word about what christian and druze militias have done to lebanon, as well as israelis, and as well as hezbollah?

Does isarel believ it is the only country EVER threatened . Hey i saw my home city of Manchester blown up by the IRA not all that long ago .You as like as not never heard about . Just one of many many many incidents . Can you tell me of any other country that has defied 68UN resolutions and got away with it ? If so please do .That has been managed by the veto power of the west by the way ie ) USA But now the general public here in the west are truly nauseated by such injustice on such a grand scale . Helena is very well informed, but I believe she is able to get news from sources far less controlled than those in the U.S. such as the BBC. Now that we can get the BBC here, more Americans are becoming aware of the world around us. The answer then, is that no one knows about it, just as their knowledge of the Palestinian issue is limited to "Israel killed Hamas terrorists who lobbed rockets over the border" You see, for all of out talk about democracy, and our finger pointing at countries without a free press, we ourselves are sorely lacking in both.
Is it right? No. But hopefully it is getting better. The internet helps and people are becoming more and more aware that we DON'T get real news. I realize it's like an excuse, but iot's the best explanation I can give you.

Their media lie systematically. I.e. average germans are kept in the dark on Israel. After Israel managed to kill > 1000 Lebanese destroying the civilian infrastructure - german media still claimed, that Israel was fighting for its survival. No kidding.
Hey Gila, don't you have anything more original to say about Hizbollah? Really? I have read the same comment twice already with the same sad face! I'm not going to sit here and stand up for Hizbollah by any means, it would be foolish of me. But if you were to live where these people have to live, deal with the neighbors that they have to deal with, and watch your weak and corrupt government ignore it, you really would not have the one sided opinion that you have right now. Not to mention all the prisoners who have not been released in how many years now? Don't sit there and critisize until you have been in their shoes. Really. This is just a friendly advise. I've seen the south and part of the border, and I can assure you that Israel has spread, and is still spreading a lot of misery there. It really goes a long, long way back. Yes, and it also includes Israel stealing water, and freshly picked up crops from farmers at gun point by their so called IDF. Can you live with that day in and day out, and then get bombed at whenever they feel "threatened" by you? When I was living in Beirut in 82, they first came in and ran over our cars crushing them, then they proceded to bomb the hell out of us with their F-14s, along with the US from the sea and the Christians from the east side. We had no food, no water, no electricity, and no cars to run away. I'm not a Muslim fundimentalist; I am Christian Armenian. Are you trying to say that just because we lived their it was ok for us to be treated the way we got treated by Israel? Most of my neighbors were Muslim and they were there when we needed help. So I can't sit here and say that I hate them for what they are doing. They are just protecting themselves, their land and their rights; Something that my people have been too scared and too weak to do to get our land back from Turkey.
The Germans need to get over their collective guilt, and be rational about fighting the views that enabled Hitler's atrocities. What was done to the Jewish population in Europe was horrific and must be remembered, but selling advanced weapons technology to a country that in many ways emulates the aggressiveness and ideology of Germany 1939 doesn't do Jews worldwide any good. They'd better spend their efforts compensating the families that were affected by the Holocaust and realize Israel for what it is, a country that is ruled by dogma, cynicism and cruelty and doesn't flinch when it comes to carrying out state terrorism under the guise of "achieving peace", a country that has NOTHING to do with Judaism and which many Jews despise, and are very critical towards.
I feel with the Jewish people, not Israel. I am Christian/Agnostic btw, not Jewish despite my nickname. :)
Germany needs to think more carefully about how it supports Israel, and not just do so reflexively out of guilt. They are being made complicit in Israeli crimes. Two wrongs don't make it right.

but the point his if he lies on tv news radio where ever... and no one steps up and says your liying. right there right then. obviously no one would print that. or show how this guy was lying thru his teeth. then its the truth... and thats why its done that way... most people dont want to get into it... they just want a quick story to keep them busy while they eat... and thats it... but they will hold what they heard to heart so close it would be easier to take the heart then the lie... and then when you try to explain why its a lie... then it becomes to much of work to reprogram ones mind...... so they become defensive ... like if the lie was a truth they want to believe... tv programming.. its programming alright... but are you aware. be safe be careful... you dont know these news people one bit.. so what do they care about you... just keep giving them money by watching and they wont go to nuts on you.... |
