that is way to upsetting. jounieh has nothing to do with hizbellah....but israel wants to say they are only targetting the "terrorists"!!!! this just shows that israeli attacks cannot be justified.

not surprising at all...what Isreal doesn't unerstand is the backlash of there aggression is not Hizballah its going to be the Lebanese citizens. We have an opportunity to really make some grounds world wide with this...i hope we can execute well...
It is true that there is considerable control on the US press by the Jewish interest. However, the news here is based solely upon what people will tune in to hear about, and can be used to sell commercials. There is more news about the heat wave, and other national items, even Mel Gibson. There is less and less talk in the offices, streets, etc about Lebanon now. THe media is trying to keep it hyped up, but people eventually lose interest if it does not directly affect them.
I am confused. I'm just a student in the USA, but I don't think our government and news channels are telling us the truth about the attacks and what has been going on. What is going on? Everytime the news comes on, all I hear is that Isreal has bombed another Hizballah target. Then they will say that all of these civilians died. That just doesn't add up, you hit the terrorists then all the death count is in civilians. How can I find out the truth? Everyone hates the US, but I don't think that is fair, at least, on the personal level. I'm a US citizen, thus I am hated. But I haven't done anything wrong. I don't hate anyone or support any of this bullshit! I wish it would all just stop. I wish I knew how I could help contribute and bring peace. What should all of us do to help each other? Is this too idealistic to say and ask? For peace (at least for alittle while)?
Now we don't hate americans but we despise bigotted fascist war mongerers of all nationalities.
As for learning the truth: An easy way is to check out other media from other parts of the world; both CNN and AlJazeera are not objective but if you know both of them you might find the thruth somewhere in the middle (both have WebSites). I don't wanna pat my own shoulder but I think the European media are generally more informative and more balanced (you shurely get BBC?). You might also wanna check out IndyMedia. - Be courious - Read more and better media outlets - Be critical
I forgot: National Public Radio is relatively informative and relatively balanced
Understanding the Middle East is VERY easy. Jews and Arabs have been killing each other for 1100 Years and they will be doing so right up to when the nuclear kelvin bombs start to fall from the skies. Sit back and enjoy the show remembering what kook religions have done to the Earth.
