so there i was, coasting along at 150 km/h, hoping to outrun the israeli missles that have a knack for civilian blood (220 civilian deaths in lebanon VS 12 in israel), when lo and behold i find myself screeching to a halt upon witnessing this sight:
  :you see, the israelis have just about leveled all buildings that can be leveled in the southern districts of beirut, so they've turned to the trucks to keep busy until they find something better to do. TODAY: they struck 2 trucks in the Port of Byblos, 2 trucks in the Port of Beirut (carrying flour - witnessed first hand), 2 trucks here, 2 trucks there... at least nobody's going to heaven alone, right? all photos and information are of events taking place on July 18, 2006 on the 7th day of the Israeli Terror Attacks on Lebanon -finkployd- all rights reserved Comments

Dear w, you are very right indeed. Beirut was and in some parts of the city it probaly still is. Within days before the war started i had developed, a kind of obsession ( i guess you can call it that) of lebanon and beautiful beirut. Take a look at pictures of lebanon before this whole thing started stared. On the home page there is a virtual tour of Lebanon on the left hand column. click it an veiw the Winter photos ( it may take a few min. for it to load up. Lebanon is beautiful and I hope the Lebanese people have the will to febuild their beautiful home. Your friend DJ

(Again) Just to send our love and support to all lebanese people from the lebanese community in Mexico City...my grandparents were lebanese and I was flying to Beirut next friday, obviously I had to cancel my trip...I was meeting my grandfather's sister (93 years old), but it was impossible. Now she's in the hospital, she had a stroke caused by bombs and sadness, and because war is tearing apart her family once again...Actions against Hezbollah MAY be justifiable, but NEVER the massacres against innocent civilians. Our support to you all...by the way, we will protesting against bombings, violence and civilian casualties in Lebanon outside UN headquarters in Mexico City this Thursday.
Lebanese innocent people shouldn't pay for the attacks of Hizballah over Israel. There is no right to this. Israel is acting like international gangsters.
