you should visit the north (no not tripoli), the real north - akkar, dinniyye, tannourine, etc...
or just search for mechmech on blogging beirut.
it's quite spectacular :)
i am working on getting the full GPS tracks online for anyone who'd like to cycle around lebanon, as guided by maxime chaya

Does anyone know where exactly that is? because i really want to go biking but the problem is that most places are really rocky, so if its possible what path did he take, where was his starting point. thanks

Amazing person, pays attention to the slightest details.

Beautiful photo of Amoua in Akkar. It is the MOST beautiful part of Lebanon and should keep it the way it is but put more signs up, trails thru the most beautiful areas and put some small, nice looking hotels up, like the goernment Rest House in Tyre. The people there are also very nice. I just love the whole area of Akkar, Dinniyeh and the cedar forest of Tennourine, Ehden, and the Barouk Nature Reserves and hope to God that the government will not allow investors to ruin these areas like they have over built the rest of lebanon. The south is also a beautiful area as is the Bekaa...all these areas of Lebanon are neglected, which is a shame. THANK YOU GOD FOR GIVING US A BEAUTIFUL LEBANON! LOVE IT DEARLY!
